Five months after its launch, Wizaplace has announced having secured 500 000 Euros in a first-round funding. Wizaplace is a new SaaS marketplace creation platform, capable of realising B2C, B2B and C2C projects, and of marketplaces for tailor made services.
The Saas platform for marketplace creation Wizaplace has just accomplished its first significant raising of funds. The company realised a 500 000 euros consortium, subscribed to mostly by business angels, among those being Alain Laidet, the creator of the E-Commerce fair in Paris. The BPI France (Banque Publique d’Investissement) has equally participated to this equity reinforcement operation, as has a private banking body.
This operation is intended to strengthen the company’s technical and sales teams and to expand Wizaplace’s spectrum of use. Designed in 2012, the platform required three years of development and R & D. Initially destined for the marketplace Wizacha.com, here, this technical platform demonstrates its strength; today, Wizacha brings together around 500 merchants and 370,000 products.
The decision to make this platform available to other projects was made in June 2015. A first version was presented last September. The current financing transaction is going to make it possible to strengthen our sales teams and allow the deployment of projects.
Wizaplace has enlisted the services of an experienced Product Manager, Sylvain Ramousse, the former co-founder of AppGratis. Created in 2010, this mobile marketing start-up has been downloaded over 25 million times and serves up to 3 million users daily. Sylvain brings vast technical expertise to Wizaplace’s platform scalability and product road map.
A Unique expertise: the C2C marketplace.
Wizaplace was, designed as a marketplace creation platform open to trade between individuals, should they be professional or non-professional. As an expertise, it is quite specific, being that these C2C marketplaces respond to technical and economic mechanics, as original as they are efficient.
This C2C expertise registers itself in consumers’ tendency to turn towards participatory economics.
Wizaplace therefore, is the only platform suited to B2C, B2B and C2C marketplace projects and, more broadly, to marketplaces for tailor made services.
Wizaplace will be attending the E-Commerce 1 to 1 event in Monaco to present its new range of marketplace services.
